Yay! Fiction Alley is awesome this week! They got fic up pretty darn fast!

Rant of the day - many parents who drop/off and pick up their kids from school are idiots, lazy and teaching their children bad manners. Our parking lot has rules (think of the movie Mr. Mom) about picking up and dropping off your kids. Still – there are those “entitlement parents’ out there who honestly seem to believe that the rules don’t apply to them or their children. I make sure that I always use the little cross-walks in the parking lot, because I want my kids to know that this is an important procedure that my keep them from being run over. Apparently not. Today, there was a lady parked on top of the crosswalk, blocking it off, and she had a lit cigarette in one hand and a cell phone in the other. It’s just not a good combination, especially in a parking lot full of school kids. Her window was wide open, so I said, very politely, “Just so you know, in the future, this is a cross walk you’re parked on top of.” I didn’t even get into the no smoking on school grounds thing. Her reply? “Yeah, well. Sorry.” In a SO not sorry voice. Then I had to walk around the car in the ‘special’ parking space that only exists in the minds of certain people who think it’s acceptable to park ANYWHERE THEY WANT.

Sigh. I think I’m going to buy myself an orange vest and an air horn. Maybe if they're afraid I’ll approach them, they’ll obey the rules just to avoid me.

Sorry – I’m just cranky about it. [/rant]

Reviews:

Lyra - Well, considering that a Time-Turner was responsible for Andrew Tillman’s Grandmother disappearing for 20 years, I don’t think that anyone would be too keen to hand one to Connor any time soon. It’s a tough break, but there are lots more adventures waiting for Connor out there! (I promise!)

Trey Fury 97 - Um… thanks? Sorry to render you speechless – I know that Connor’s gotten a hard knock in this chapter, but it had to be done!

Lady Lupin Lover - Well, the adults are pushing him, but it’s really kind of necessary. He needs to learn how to control his healing power, though, so he doesn’t do himself a serious injury. Once he learns how to prevent it from taking him over, he’ll be able to decide what he wants to do with it. So he could be a professional Quidditch player, if he wants to in the future, but not until he’s sure h e can handle being around that many people in a sport where injuries are common.

GoddessArtemis - Hey! Glad you’re enjoying it! I still have one or two tricks up my sleeve, so hopefully it won’t be too predictable now that we’re approaching the end of the story!

Acceber - Yeah, Connor will have more time for all of those things, but I wouldn't expect him to be happy about it. Thanks for pointing out my oops! You guys at the Lexicon have sharp eyes!!
