velvethope made me my nifty new Christmas icon. For those of you who don’t share my warped sense of humor, it’s: “Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas!”
I also broke down and bought six moths of paid LJ time. I didn’t cave totally and buy the extra icon space, but I was sooooo tempted! I was just getting tired of being limited to only three icons.
Does anyone remember the Marathon bar from years ago? It was about a foot long and came in a red wrapper with yellow writing, and the candy bar inside was braided caramel coated in chocolate? They were SOOOOOOO good! Until they quit making them. My dad used to buy them and put them in the freezer, then whack them against the counter so that it broke into dozens of little pieces. I missed them so – until today, when I went to Cost Plus World Market and found the Cadbury’s Curly Wurly bar – it’s very very close to the much missed Marathon bar. I bought three! Hee! I also bought a Lion Bar, which, for us Americans, is kind of like a Kit Kat stick stuffed inside a 100 Grand bar. I feel myself gaining weight just talking about it!
On another unrelated to anything note: My oldest son starts Cub Scouts today, and he is very excited about it. I don’t know much about the Boy Scouts, but I reckon we’ll learn together.
Also, heard on the radio (which greatly amused me):
“If you are Jewish, Happy Hanukkah
If you are Christian: Merry Christmas!
If you are Atheist, Have a nice day!”
That about sums it up, I guess!
Also, those of you who would like me to send you a Christmas card, e-mail me your mailing address at aisforamy at gmail dot com. I will happily send one out. If you don’t celebrate Christmas, let me know and I can make it a “holiday” card.
