Feb. 5th, 2006 11:03 amWell, Yesterday turned out to be a pretty good day! Both of my classes were full, and the ladies in it were a lot of fun. Plus, I got $300 in my pocket for my pains. I was exhausted by the end of the day, but glad I had done it. It’s good to be getting back to a normal routine.
Then, last night at out weekly family dinner, my family celebrated my birthday a bit early, and they had all pitched in to buy me a Zoo membership! I was so pleased, as I had been planning on spending a good chunk of my paycheck to get one for myself. I let my membership expire about a year ago, and I haven’t been able to afford a new one. I’ve missed going. My sister and I used to take my kids to the Zoo every week, and my boys have been begging me to take them, lately. School gets out early on Wednesdays, so I think I may end up taking them then, and getting back into weekly trips. It’s a great way to get into shape, since the trails at the Phoenix Zoo are very hilly and often rugged.
In other news, I have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow, and I’m thinking that I may get my staples out, which would be nice. My boys are a bit stuffy, so they may end up going to their doctor tomorrow, as well, just to be on the safe side. Ear infections seem to sneak up out of nowhere, and almost always strike in the middle of the night. After that, I’m hoping to make a trip to Ikea to buy new kitchen chairs, which we have desperately needed for many moons.
Tuesday is my birthday, and I think I may be spending it on a field trip with my son’s kindergarten class to Stuffington’s Bear Factory, where the kids will all get to make their own stuffed bear, thanks to a donation by one of the student’s grandmothers, who also used to be a teacher at the school. I can think of a worse way to spend a day!
Well, that’s enough babbling from me. As you can probably tell, I’m feeling better if I can ramble on this long about nothing in particular.
