It's my hubby's b-day!
Jan. 10th, 2005 07:00 amD’oh! My sister and her daughter went back home yesterday, and I thought that I would have a solid couple of hours to work on chapter 11 once my kids went to school. Unfortunately, my oldest son woke up with a fever and not feeling well. Sigh. Looks like I’m going to be mommying for most of the day. With any luck the poor little guy will sleep a lot and get rid of this yucky bug.
I did have a review for FTU, and one for Sanity in Azkaban, so here is the responses (along with profound thanks) for them:
Lizzy87 -(FTU) I’m so glad you’re enjoying it! Isn’t it fun when you miss a chapter, and have extra to read when you finally realize it? I’m so relieved that there weren’t to many mistakes this time – I’ve got chapter 10 beta read, now I still need to make the corrections, hence the late chapter this time!
DarkLadyofSlytherin - (SIA) Boy FA is slow about e-mailing review notifications! Sorry I didn’t comment on this sooner. I’m glad you liked this one – It’s WAY darker than I normally write, but Hermione was just sitting there in her cell, waiting for her story to be told. I haven’t been able to find out what happened to Harry yet. Maybe he’ll eventually turn up with a heck of a story to tell, eh? Or maybe he really is gone, and all his friend can do is wait to see him again on the other side? I think you’re mostly right about what kept Sirius sane while he was in Azkaban, but I also think that everyone has their own personal cross to bear, and their own threshold for punishment. I think any kind of strength to survive Azkaban has to come from somewhere inside, and that it’s not just the Dementors that eat away at you while you’re in there… Sorry I didn’t mean to write another book about it!
Since I am not going to be able to post a new chapter on Tuesday as I had hoped, I thought I might offer you a small cookie to gnaw on, in the form of a tiny piece of Chapter 10, which should be posted on Tuesday, Jan 18th.
Anyway, I’m going to try a cut again, so that I can offer you a cookie from the next chapter to gnaw on while you wait – cross your fingers!
Okay - I can't get the lj-cut thing to work (I have NO idea why,since I'm 99% sure I'm typing it right), so the cookie is just going to have to appear as is on this journal entry. Sorry!
