stuff and stuff
Mar. 12th, 2005 10:37 pmabout the chapter - FA is just really backed up. I have already submitted chapter 17, though, so hopefully they will both go up relatively close together, so those of you waiting to read it on FA will get a double-whammy. I’m still working on Chapter 18, but I’m hoping to get it done by Monday evening, and then I will beg my beta to look it over, even though it’s shorter notice than usual.
Stuff about my life: I enjoy teaching. I almost always have a good time showing other people how to do stuff and helping them learn a new skill. But today, I had one lady in my class that I thought was going to make my head explode. My eyes would have bled if I had to (try to) answer one more of her questions. It’s like she was verbally dyslexic, and everything she asked came out backward, and I just couldn’t understand some of the questions she kept asking. Then she would say, “I know what I’m trying to ask you.” Well that’s good, at least one of us does! Then she wouldn’t listen while I was trying to show them different techniques, and got all flustered when she didn’t know what was going on! Aaaah!
And it wasn’t just me. The other people in class were looking at her like they didn’t get it either, and the store owner came in after she left and was like, “What was her trip?”
At least she was only in my first class. She said she could stay for the second class because her brain was full. It was full of something, all right!
Ah well, at least I got paid for my troubles, and now I can afford to buy The Incredibles when it comes out on Tuesday. I loved that movie and my kids are excited to see it again.
Review responses:
x0Robyn0x – (The Master) – thanks, I’m glad you liked it! I had a great time writing that one. I giggled all the way through it!
(April Fool) Thank you! It looks like you went on a little reading spree! I love it!
(FTU) –I’m glad you’re finding Connor more likeable in this story. It’s hard to develop some of the characters when there is so much other stuff going on that needs to be addressed. We’re definitely inside his head a lot more in this story than the last.
