Jul. 27th, 2006 08:37 amWow. I woke up to the sound of rain this morning. This hasn't happened in...a really, really long time. Usually in monsoon season, the storms roll in around late afternoon, usually at the heels of a huge dust storm. More often than not, there will be tons of thunder and lightning, with occasional spurts of torrential downpour for a couple of hours, and then it's done.
This rain seems like a nice, long soaker without a lightshow or all the noise.
Anyway. I also woke up to find my husband was on is way back to California to pick up his truck and finally return the rental car. Apparently our transmission has been replaced, and is working fine. It'd better be, after everything we went through. It's going to be about a six-hour trip, I'm guessing. With a little luck, he might even get home in time to get an hour of sleep before he has to go to work again.
Also, I wanted to say sorry to those of you who might have noticed that I haven't been as sociable lately. I have been stressed out with taking on my new role as president of the PTO, school starting, a new diet, and few personal issues, both online and in RL, that have making me grumpy... and on top of all of that I have a killer case of PMS that I am trying not to inflict on innocent bystanders. (Sorry if that last part is TMI).
I am working hard to boost my mood. In fact, I let my sister talk me into participating in this crazy scheme. In August; in the Arizona desert. She reckons it will increase our chances of winning the scavenger hunt. As long as I don’t have to drive, and have a water bottle the size of my head, I might even have fun!
Enough of my rambling. My “OMG, it’s raining!” post turned into a babble-fest. I hope everyone is having a better week than I am! Be well, and for God’s sake, be nice to each other – it makes the world an easier place to live in!
Link of the day: I might have to watch this show. tonight. Even if they lose, they have at least gotten their names on IMDB. That’s something, I guess.
