Oct. 4th, 2006 02:15 pmI think I was a squirrel in my previous life.
Almost as soon as October was close, I started stocking up on canned goods and filling my freezer and stuff. I have been planning things months in advance, and I even have about half of my Christmas shopping done already.
My kitchen table is covered with my craft stuff and rubber stamps and pigmented mica powders and pretty ribbons and papers and things. So much so, that I have been letting the kids eat their meals at the coffee table in the front room.
I found out last night, though, that I am not the only one looking forward to cooler weather. When I went to check on my kids before going to bed, it was to find that Jared was wearing a knit hat and scarf to sleep in. I wonder what he was dreaming about? :)
At any rate, life has been crazy busy for me the past few days, and looks like it will continue to be so for a while. Not that I mind…I’m enjoying having things to do. I have been spending so much time at my kids’ school that many of the other kids will walk up to me on occasion to ask me what grade I teach!
I finally broke down and went to the doctor today for the sinus whatever that is going on in my head. I’ve tried ignoring it for the past three weeks, but it hasn’t gone away. It’s weird, because I am not congested, my head just hurts. He gave me antibiotics (we’ll see if I’m allergic), and also a script for diet pills, because I have been putting on a lot of weight in a short amount of time. I don’t know if it’s because of my changed digestive system from having fewer organs to deal with stuff, or if it’s just that I eat too much crap and don’t get enough exercise. Either way, I need to do something about it. I will probably be hyper until my body adjusts to the diet pills—wheeee!
I am goingbeg ask my husband if I can buy an inexpensive bike from Target or Walmart or something, since my last bike is shot all to hell. The weather is out of the triple digits for the year, I think, so I should be all right riding in the mornings after I drop the kids off at school.
Anyway, this was a lot longer and more rambling that I intended, so I’ll go now, and leave you with:
