May. 10th, 2007 09:43 pmMy sister graduated from ASU, Summa Cum Laude with a BSW tonight, and I am very, very proud of her. She has worked hard, and has been accepted into the accelerated Master's program, so will have her Master's degree in Social Work at this time next year.
We went to dinner afterward, where my diet got chucked out the window in favor of southwest cuisine and a half a piece of fudge pie. I don't regret it.
Mother's day is this Sunday, and even though I am hosting family dinner, I might take the first part of the day to drive up with my sister and visit our parents' (and grandparents') graves. My father died on mother's day (May 12th) ten years ago, so it's kind of a double whammy for us. I miss them both every day, and wish I could make the trip up there more often.
It's about an hour and a half each way, so we could easily be home in time for family dinner. Especially if I just have chicken salad sandwiches, or something that I can make ahead of time.
For now, I am very tired, and am going to bed.
To any and all I am threading with? I will tag tomorrow, when my brain is not so fuzzy and half-dead.
Nighty-night!
