Okay – want to make my day/week/month/year??
If you don’t have a child, you may not know about this, but it’s a great resource for schools all over the country. There are programs that will help schools raise money for much needed supplies and technology – and you can help with very little work on your part, and no extra out of pocket expense.
If you don’t have a child, still save these items, and take them to any elementary school in your area – I can guarantee they would be thrilled to take them from you. You can mail them to me, and I will be thrilled beyond words to take them from you – ask for my address and I will gladly give it. I will even send you a self addressed, stamped envelope for them!!
Also? CHECK YOUR GROCERY RECIEPTS and the little strip of coupons they give you at check out. There will often be bonus labels and boxtops coupons printed on them that are worth a lot to the schools that collect them. Does your grocery store have a value or savings card that you swipe or scan each time you’re at the cashier? Register it with http://www.escrip.com/ and choose which school you’d like to support! Each time you make qualifying purchases, it will automatically credit the school(s) you support! You’re going to use that card any, right? Why not build up some good Karma while you shop? Again, if you don’t have a school to support, I will give you the name of the one my kids attend, and you can support us! :)
Campbell’s Soup (and other products) UPC codes
Campbell’s labels can be found on soup, goldfish cracker bags and boxes, Prego spaghetti sauce, Pace salsa, all sorts of things. The important part to save is the UPC code, with the little picture of the Campbell’s kid or a pencil that says “Labels For Education” on them. These labels don’t earn cash for the school, but you can bank your labels with them to redeem for items for use in the classroom and school media centers.
Here are links to which products have labels that can help!
Tyson Project A+ food labels
Tyson is mainly chicken products, and the entire panel from the box or bag is needed. Tyson will give our school $.24 for each label – that’s a great deal! The only catch is that a minimum of 100 panels is needed before they can be sent it.
These are the Tyson products that will have labels.
General Mills Boxtops for Education
General Mills has TONS of products with the boxtop label on them. Cereal boxes, cake mixes, frosting, flour, Hamburger Helper, etc. They give our school $.10 for each one, but be careful not to cut off the expiration date!
This is what products have labels.
