Another day in paradise
Dec. 3rd, 2004 09:27 amWell Fiction Alley finally got chapter four up! I don’t know what the problem was, but it’s still completely lacking any Italics that I had added, but at least it’s up!
Reviews for Chapter Four – The Trip Back to Hogwarts
Bob Jones - Thank you! It’s my pleasure to respond to you on my LJ! I don’t consider it a waste of time or space at all! Always nice to hear from you!
LilyoftheEarth - Hi honey! You’re so sweet! With all of the nonsense going on over at ff.net, I think you probably chose wisely! I’m sorry you’re getting annoyed with the mystery of Connor’s hands, but I’m afraid that it’s a major part of the whole plot! All will be revealed in time – probably somewhere around chapter 14 or 15 if all goes according to plan – isn’t that encouraging? You may be able to guess it before then (you probably will), but that’s when the big explanation comes.
dakkon13 - Hi Ben! I’m glad you liked seeing Snowball again – I don’t believe he’s going to be in chapter 5, but you definitely haven’t seen the last of him. I did consider putting Rupert into Gryffindor – but I think we’ll all appreciate him more in Slytherin – You’ll see why. You can thank my beta Alexandra for keeping me from droning on and on to fit in the little details here and there – she’s brutally honest when I get off track! She’s great!
dnd4ever - Nice to hear from you again! If I told you what trouble the kids were going to get into, it'd ruin it! I hope you'll stick with me and find out chapter by chapter!
On a side note -
I’ve made no secret of the fact that I absolutely adore “A Year Like None Other” by Aspen in the Sunlight. It’s just the best there is out there right now, IMHO. That is why I went completely geek and wrote a fan fic for a fan fic! Yes, I did. There was one tense chapter that ended on a cliffhanger, and the anticipation of waiting another week to find out how everything was resolved was just killing me. I set aside FTU for a couple of hours and wrote my version of what I thought would come next to soothe the anxiety of waiting for Aspen’s version.
Now that all of the hubbub of the deletion of said fic is beginning to die down a bit, Aspen has been exploring other avenues for posting her fic, and decided to post the alternate chapter I wrote to test out the review system on Skyhawke.com.
The reviews my little foray into Aspen’s playground have been overwhelmingly nice, and I couldn’t possibly address every person who had a comment about it, so I just want to give a great big THANK YOU to everyone who did have something to say about it. I did it from Ron's POV, because I knew there was NO WAY I could do justice to Harry's the way Aspen does. No one will argue that Aspen’s work is far, far superior, but it was fun to do!
For those of you who haven’t read “A Year Like None Other”, the chapter will probably not make any sense to you, but if you want to check it out, you can find it here:

I’m also going to cheat and call that my goofy link for the day!
Have a great day, all!
