I got confused yesterday, and after spending a couple of hours fixing chapter five, I lost track of time. I convinced myself that it was Sunday night, when it was really only Saturday night. Anyway, I went and submitted Chapter Five of Foreshadowing the Unexpected to Fiction Alley last night. The way my luck’s been running with them, though, they’ll send it back to me with inexplicable formatting errors! At worst, readers may get the chapter a day earlier than I originally intended, which isn’t a bad thing.
Usually FA readers have to wait a couple of days longer than ff.net readers, because it has to go through the whole submission process. ff.net doesn’t really have any delay at all, and chapters only take a few minutes to appear. That explains why there is so much chaff among the wheat on that site.
Anyway, onto the review cmoments for chapter four:
DarkLadyofSlytherin - Thanks for pointing those out! I’ll have to go looking for them. Something went all wonky with uploading this chapter, and even after three tries, it did go up formatted like it was supposed to be. Sigh. Rupert was put into Slytherin for a reason, though it may take a while to us to come to that.
boit62283 - Thank you very much! Welcome aboard! I’m so glad that you liked Foreshadowing the Past – It’s always a thrill for me when word is spread about my stories. I hope you’ll find FTU even more fun (and better written) than the first one!
TreyFury97 - I think that Rupert ended up where he belongs, though that doesn’t mean he’s going to fit in right away. Connor’s hands, you say? Well there is somrthing going on with them, but not necessarily what you’re thinking. Not completely, anyway. Could I be a little more vague?
MicheleMalfoy - Thank you! You have no idea how much it means to me!
SweetCherryPie - Thanks honey! Yes, Rupert just plain belongs in Slytherin – there’s really no comparing him to Andrew. I am up on ff.net under A-is-for-Amy. Of course you can friend me! I will friend you as soon as I get the chance!
On a happier note, Aspen in the Sunlight, Author of the fabulous “A Year Like None Other” has begun to re-load her fic onto the net. She will be posting on Skyhawke.com here: http://archive.skyehawke.com/authors.php?no=781 plus she now has an Yahoo group as well here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ayearlikenoneother/
If you haven’t read her story yet, it is well worth the look.
Goofy Link: OMG! Cow Maze! I have been playing this stupid game for a couple of days now – it’s infuriating that the instruction aren’t in English, though they are pretty simple to figure out . I will warn you that you might want to write down the codes for each level so that you can pick up playing where you left off without having to play the whole game over again from the beginning.
