1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 4 sentences on your LJ along with these instructions.
5. Don’t you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.

“I don’t recall doing so,” their great-aunt replied.
In case you couldn’t guess, it is from book five of the The Spiderwick Chronciles, The Wrath of Mulgarath by Holly Black, with illustrations by Tony DiTerlizzi.
They are a fun, fast read! You should check them out, if you haven’t already!
Link of the day: brought to you my Yrael-mun, who shared this with me a while ago and made me laugh: http://www.muffinfilms.com/psst.html
Also for your consideration: "The second principal of magic:...things which have once been in contact with each other continue to act on each other at a distance after the physical contact has been severed." -Sir james G. Frazer
