aisforamy: december 2011 (The dumb)
Okay.

So, I ordered an MP3 player from Tigerdirect.com, and thought, "Hey! 1GB for $40 is a good deal! ($60 with a $20 mail-in rebate).

Keep in mind that I know NOTHING about MP3 players, except that they play music and stuff. That's what the user's manual is for, right? Right?

*facepalms* It's in Engrish.

Maybe my niece can help me figure it out. She's got an mp3 player...

Keep your fingers crossed, okay?

Link of the day: http://www.pandora.com/ It tells you what kind of music you are likely to enjoy, based on what you already enjoy. Or something... Try it out!

I am in the mood to color. I want to color, but I can’t find my stamp…the stamp I use when I want to color. The one I used to make THIS with.

*sigh*

I suppose I could make new class samples for my display board. It’s been a while, and the old ones are a bit dated. At every class I teach, I keep telling myself I need to redo it, and then I procrastinate, because I don’t want to drag out all of my supplies…
Maybe losing my favorite stamp is a sign.

Link of the day www.inkitinc.com is the store I teach at. It’s way cool.

today I do! And the day’s only half over!

Number one! I got a call from my new PTO treasurer, telling me that she has not made it to bank to get a signature card for the account yet, because she needs/wants me to go with her. This is something I asked her to do well over a week ago. She doesn’t want to go until Monday, because she has five children, and doesn’t want to have to drag them all along. (School starts on Monday).

Number two! Also concerning said treasurer. Last year’s treasurer (who simply didn’t have the time to do it anymore, she says) was supposed to sit down with my new treasurer and explain all of spreadsheets and procedures and whatnot. She agreed at the end of the last school year to do this, but has not returned any of the calls from the new treasurer so that they can do this (and they know each other, so it’s not a matter of not recognizing the caller or something).

In the meantime, old treasurer sends someone else to talk to me about how much she wants to work on the yearbook this year. The yearbook that I stated clearly at our last meeting that I did not want to me made. Firstly, because we lose money on it every year, and secondly, because I don’t think elementary school kids need a freaking yearbook.

Number three! My oldest son (whom I love dearly, but may soon throttle) left the freezer door open last night. Again. For the second time this summer.

This is a freezer that sits on out screened in patio, so it melted EVERYTHING inside by the time I found it this afternoon. I just had to throw away about fifty to seventy-five pounds of food-- three garbage bags full to bursting--, and the rest (what was still at least cold) I am going to cook today.

Luckily, I am hosting family dinner this week (tomorrow), so it won’t all go to waste.

I will be surprised if the neighbors don't call the police about the smell that is sure to be emanating from my garbage can soon, though. Garbage pick up isn’t until Tuesday, and with temperatures in the triple digits, it’s bound to be pretty rank, even though I double bagged everything.

So! I feel so much better now for having ranted about this, and got it off of my chest. I guess I am going shopping now, so we don’t starve in the next couple of weeks.
