aisforamyI would like to start a meme.
However, I don't think that my journal gets that much traffic, and I don't know how many of you that read it are fellow writers.
So, if you want to participate, feel free. Here is what I want you to do.
First, go here.
Choose a "They Fight Crime!" scenario that appeals to you.
Write it down as your "title", then write between three to five hundred words on that scenario.
Post your writings in the replies here.
Then challenge people on your own journal to do the same.

He's a witless guerilla astronaut who knows the secret of the alien invasion. She's a scantily clad psychic widow operating on the wrong side of the law. They fight crime!
She’d been the only one to believe him when he’s said the aliens were coming. She said she’d seen it in a vision on the night her husband had died.
Now, he’d been tossed out of NASA and labeled an aggressive neurotic, and she was wanted for questioning for knowing too much about a recent (alien related) crime spree the likes of which the city had never seen.
They were in real trouble now, as police and government vehicles closed in around them. He waited impatiently for her to scale the fence to the restricted section tothe military base her visions had led them to.
“Goddamned stiletto heels,” she cursed as she struggled to get her leg over the top of the fence in spite of the fact that her tight leather miniskirt was hampering her progress.
Swearing, he finally scaled back up and jerked her over the fence, tumbling them both to the ground in a tangle.
When they looked up, several armed soldiers were pointing weapons at them. It only took a moment to see that they all had unnaturally pale glowing eyes.
“Fuck.”
He nodded at her expletive, keeping a wary eye on the soldiers as he handed her one of his guns. God only knew how they were going to get out of this one.
