Feb. 8th, 2005 08:38 amI had an awesome birthday! Thank you to everyone who sent me well wishes! For reasons beyond my reckoning, Chapter 13 is still waiting to be posted at FA, but I've got it up at ff.net and the lexicon, at least.
I am about half way done with chapter 15, and it's turning out longer than I expected. My betas will probably help me ot trim some of it away, because I know how much you all hate new chapters! ;)
And I had some very nice (and astute) reviews:
LadyGame - Hello again! Sorry about FA’s irregular updates. Sometimes they have….issues, and it takes longer to get the chapters up there. I’m glad you made the effort! I’m also thrilled that you found the Quidditch match so easy to follow! It comes across okay inside my head, but I was worried that it wouldn’t translate when I wrote it down. We never saw what happened to Whitney, because Connor never saw it, but I heard from Zack that she got thrown off balance by one of Ravenclaw’s beaters, and then a Bludger broke one of her arms! That was why she was in the hospital wing already when Connor was brought in. You’re right about the animosity toward Rupert – they were trying to teach him a lesson – he basically stole from them by setting up a diversion and taking a photo of the map. There’s a reason I’m building up the the rivalry and such between them… As for your guess about his hands- very close to the mark. Very close. You’ve not got it ALL yet, but you’ve come the closest of anyone so far. Next chapter will pretty much tell you why!
Mehgan - You’re probably right! Do you think your parents would let you stay on the team after something like this? I don’t think he’s going to have too easy a time after this for a while….
Pigwidgeon - Thank you! I tried to think of what might scare him the most. And Vanessa got in so much trouble last year… it kind of went on from there. As for Connor’s hands, you only have to wait a week for that mystery to be revealed – mostly. It’ll probably take two chapters to really explain it, but I hope it will be worth it!

Uncle Brad - Thank you! I had a very nice birthday, indeed! Thanks also for letting me know the the Quidditch was followable (is that word?). I'm butning up the keyboard this morning trying to finish up chapter 15, so all shall be revealed soon! Mwahahaha! *ahem* sorry.
